Low power conversion specialist Recom has introduced a 20 to 50W power range dc/dc converter series.
The PowerlinePlus series are the first modules to incorporate Recom's Innovation in Converter Excellence (ICE) technology - a combination of techniques designed to minimise internal heat dissipation and maximise the heat transfer to ambient.
The modules have been created for military, avionics and industrial applications with a case temperature operating range of -45 to 120°C, built-in Class B EMC filters and fully protected outputs. PowerlinePlus converters are said to combine a high efficiency design with an integrated heat sink case. Recom says that this delivers power over a wide temperature range.
The series consists of six module offerings:
RPP20-S_D
This series provides 20W of power with 2:1 input voltage range, single or dual output options, 2kVDC isolation, built in emc filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 90% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45 up to 100°C without derating.
RPP20-S_DW
Similar to the RPP20-S_D, this converter series offers a 4:1 input voltage range.
RPP30-S_D
This converter provides 30W of power with 2:1 input voltage range, single or dual output options, 3kVDC isolation, built in emc filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45 up to 96°C without derating.
RPP30-S_DW
Similar to the RPP30, this converter series offers a 4:1 input voltage range.
RPP40-S
This converter provides 40W of power with 2:1 input, single output, 3kVDC isolation, built in emc filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45 up to 89°C without derating.
RPP50-S
This converter provides 50W of power with 2:1 input, single output, 3kVDC isolation, built in emc filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 91% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45 up to 81°C without derating.
