Sensing in silence
April 2009 Email to a friend

The EX355R from TTi is a compact laboratory bench top power supply generating voltages from 0 to 35V at currents from 0 to 5A.

Sensing in silenceAccording to TTi, it uses entirely convection based cooling and is consequently silent in operation.
The model incorporates twin 4 digit meters giving resolutions of 10mV and 1mA, respectively, at all voltages and currents. Local or remote sensing can be selected by a front panel switch, the latter providing regulation and metering at the load regardless of connection lead lengths.
The EX355R uses mixed mode regulation technology which combines switch mode preregulation with linear post regulation. Tti says that it can maintain high efficiency while achieving a noise level that is close to that of a pure linear regulator.
The unit has been designed to meet the requirements of relevant IEC standards for safety and EMC. The output is designed to be short circuit proof and is protected against external voltages and reverse currents.
The power supply incorporates TTi safety binding post terminals that will accept 4mm fixed shroud plugs but can also accept fork connectors or bare wires giving maximum flexibility.
