Infineon Technologies has launched new microcontrollers with embedded flash technology, including 8bit products, 16bit mcus and members of its TriCore 32bit device family for industrial applications.
All microcontroller solutions are designed to meet the performance and reliability requirements of a range of drive applications across industries such as pumps, fans, safe automation systems, transportation systems and white goods.
The new microcontrollers include the 8bit XC864 and XC886 HOT, the 16bit series XE162M, XE164M and XE167M and the 32bit TC1167 and TC1197.
Infineon has received the VDE certification for the 8bit familiy XC800 which grants the functional safety requirements for home appliances under EN/IEC60335-1 Class B standard.
The company is offering free tool chains for its newest 8bit and 16bit microcontroller families: The PK51 developments tools from the tool provider Keil are available for the XC800 family and the Tasking C Compiler from Altium with EDE, simulator and debugger are available for the XE166 family.
