DSM computer has augmented its slot CPU product line with an additional PICMG 1.3 PCI Express card with Intel Q35 + ICH9R chipset and RAID functionality.
This system supports an 800, 1066 or 1333 MHz front side bus. The main memory can be expanded to 4GB. To permit fast data storage, four SATA II 300 drives can be combined in the RAID group. As an option, two additional SATA II drives can be attached.
This makes the slot CPU equipped with Dual GigaBit Ethernet (10Base-T/100 Base-TX/1000 Base-T) suitable for demanding computing or image processing tasks in the automation, for the visualisation and for the measuring technology. A passive or active backplane also allows fast additional cards to be operated via the PCI Express Bus defined by the PICMG 1.3 specifications.
The Intel GMA 3100 chipset with a maximum of 256MB memory is responsible for the graphic power for the chipset graphics. Audio functions, such as AC`97-Codec, HD Audio and an HDA Codec, are already integrated on the board.
In addition to the four USB 2.0 ports, two serial and one parallel interface are available. Two PS/2 interfaces and eight GPIOs complete the wide spectrum of input/output capabilities.
A system hardware monitor controls not only the fan and temperature values, but also the voltage values. The watchdog timer present on the slot CPU can be set by software in time intervals from 0 to 255 seconds.
