In a move to help product developers create modules which address connectivity issues, CSR has launched the CSR9000.
According to the company, the device enables the connectivity modules as small as 60mm2 to be developed.
“Connectivity technologies evolve rapidly,” said Matthew Phillips, senior vice president of CSR’s Handset Business Unit. “We’ve seen attach rates for Bluetooth and fm rise quickly and Wi-Fi and GPS will follow. The CSR9000 means phone makers can now have a wide range of connectivity technologies as standard and can enable new handset features.”
The device supports Bluetooth, Bluetooth low energy, IEEE802.11a/b/g/n, fm receive and transmit, and GPS.
