The future’s ColorBright 16/10/2008
 
electrowetting, segment displays, liquavista Liquavista has launched ColorBright, a display platform based on its electrowetting technology. Targeted at segment driven display applications, including watches and mobile phone secondary displays, is said to combine ‘outstanding’ brightness in natural light with vivid colours.
“This is a thrilling time for Liquavista and our customers as we move from proving the technology to commercial sales,” said Liquavista ceo Mark Gostick. “No other display technology can create such a ‘wow’ impact with colour, contrast and innovative reflector design.”
Volume orders for displays will be manufactured at a recently opened fab in Southern China, using a process developed and proven at the company’s research and development centre in Eindhoven.
