Measurement, multimeter, dmm In response to field engineers and technicians demanding measurement instruments that can be easily transported for installation and maintenance activities, Agilent has launched the U1253A handheld digital multimeter (dmm).
Said to be the first dmm to use an organic light emitting diode (oled) display, the readout provides a 2000:1 contrast ratio, a160 degree viewing angle, smoothed fonts and a ‘large display’ mode.
The 4.5 digit resolution incorporates a 50,000 count full scale display and offers basic accuracy of 0.025%. As well as the dmm functions, the model includes capabilities such as temperature measurements and automated data logging and includes a set of standard test leads with alligator clips.
Ee Huei Sin, Agilent Basic Instruments Division’s vice president, commented: “Adding an oled display to a high performance handheld dmm represents a new level of ‘visionary’ innovation in our growing line of low cost solutions. It also reaffirms our commitment to go beyond essential product features to include extra capabilities that help our customers do more in a wider range of situations.”
