Technology is set to provide astronomers with unprecedented views into space

COVER STORY – Whats out thereWhen we gaze at the night sky, light pollution permitting, and wonder at the stars, it’s hard not to ponder how it all began.
It’s a question which scientists have been addressing for many years and their experiments get larger and more expensive the closer they get to an apparent answer.
Ever since Galileo determined the Earth revolved around the Sun, astronomers have looked deeper and deeper into space using optical and radio techniques. However, when one answer is discovered, several more questions are asked.
