Freescale buys multicore specialist 17/09/2008
 
multicore processors Freescale is buying Intoto, a provider of software platform products for networking and communications equipment manufacturers. According to the company, it will use Intoto’s technology to improve the system performance of its QorIQ multicore platforms, as well as to enhance software support.
According to Lynelle McKay, pictured, senior vice president and general manager for Freescale’s Networking and Multimedia Group: “Intoto’s leading edge development team strengthens our QorIQ solution and helps us offer our customers software applications expertise that assists their migration to embedded multicore.”
