Artisan acquires High Integrity Solutions 10/06/2008

Artisan Software Tools has acquired High Integrity Solutions. The move is part of Artisan’s growth strategy and gives the company full ownership of Vds (V-Design System), an integrated collaborative engineering framework.
“We are excited by this acquisition as it is synergistic with our existing business,” said James Gambrell, Artisan’s president and ceo. “Vds complements our vision of enabling large and often geographically dispersed teams of analysts, systems and software engineers.”
Jeremy Goulding, Artisan’s chief commercial officer, added: “This clearly strengthens our position as the embedded industry’s second largest supplier of development tools. Customers, particularly in the safety and mission critical space, need to be assured of ongoing active development of their chosen tools. This acquisition not only ensures continuity with regard to Vds, but also broadens customers’ options into the future.”
