Splashpower finds new home 09/05/2008

Splashpower, Magnetic induction , Wireless power Having gone into administration shortly after announcing a licensing agreement with Alba, Splashpower has been acquired by US company Alticor, which owns Fulton Innovation, exclusive licensor of eCoupled Intelligent Wireless Power technology.
Splashpower’s technology uses magnetic induction to transfer power from a charging base to a device equipped with one of its wireless power receivers. The process is said to support a short charge time and high energy transfer, with a small receiver.
“The acquisition reaffirms Fulton’s commitment to the continued development and commercialisation of wireless power,” said Dave Baarman, director of advanced technologies for Fulton Innovation. “By combining our robust patent portfolio with Splashpower’s, we continue to strengthen and expand our capabilities in the development of wireless power as well as our global presence.”
