Designed to help electronics companies facing the challenges of sustainable development, Electronics Yorkshire is organising four one-day courses to be held at its headquarters in Leeds.
On 9th July, ‘Producer Responsibility Legislation’ will provide an understanding of what recent and proposed European legislation means for producers and the actions a company needs to take to avoid potential problems. This is followed on 10th July by ‘Eco-design of Electronics’, which examines sustainable design and its influence on the electronic product life cycle.
On 16th July, ‘Design for Manufacture with IPC Standards’ aims to give an understanding that incorporating IPC Standards will improve awareness, quality and profitability, whilst, on 17th July, ‘Environmentally Aware Electronics Manufacturing’ explains the opportunities and challenges of making reliable products whilst complying with environmental legislation.
Each of the tutorials will provide attendees help with concerns such as product design, manufacturing processes, packaging, legislation compliance, energy use and waste minimisation and treatment.
