Leading connector company ITT Interconnect Solutions has created a military and aerospace centre of excellence at its Basingstoke facility in the UK. The company has increased its engineering and sales capabilities for the sector to service increasing complexity.
Nick Bailey, Product Manager, ITT Interconnect Solutions, said: “More and more we are being approached to deliver special configurations and adaptations of our standard connector products. Examples of recent customisations include connectors with shortened bodies; connectors that mount directly onto a pcb; special backshells that fit into space restricted enclosures; and a variety of different contacts and platings.”
Currently, ITT Interconnect Solutions is working to deliver parts for the VIS military communications program and the Mine Resistant Armoured Protection vehicle.
