Communications design consultancy Plextek has developed a broadband digital transceiver platform featuring a customisable baseband processor.
Covering frequencies ranging from 400MHz to 4GHz, the software defined radio can be reconfigured to support such standards as wireless lan, gsm, 3G, LTE and WiFi. Applications are expected in the civil and defence sectors.
The board’s baseband signal processing capability is implemented in multiple dual core processors and fpgas.
